Krultz, Darlene Marie (Marriage - 17 June 1961)
St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville was the scene Saturday of the wedding of Miss Darlene Marie Krultz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Krultz, Jr., Neillsville, and Donald R. Zukowski, son of Mrs. Estelle Zukowski of Thorp. The couple exchanged vows in a double ring nuptial mass performed by the Rev. Bernard T. Kelly. Altar flowers were white gladioli.
Mike Krultz, Jr., gave his daughter in marriage. Bridal simplicity was exquisitely captured in the lovely floor length gown of Chantilly lace. A portrait neckline was enriched with seed pearls and sequins and long, tapered sleeves accented the fitted Basque bodice. The full bouffant skirt was styled with an insert of gossamer sheer tulle with magnificent appliqués of lace, sparkling with sequins. Alternate tiers of lace and tulle fashioned the back. A Swedish crown of pearls and crystal held her silk illusion fingertip veil. Pearls, a gift of the groom, were her only accessories. The bridal bouquet consisted of red sweetheart roses and gardenias, with garlands of stephanotis.
Miss Arlene Stimac of Berwyn, Ill., was her cousin’s maid of honor. Miss Jacelyn Jake of Neillsville, a friend, and Miss Judy Gulczinski of Greenwood, a cousin, were her bridesmaids.
The attendants wore Street length dresses of silk organza in aquamarine. Their scoop necklines, with short cap sleeves, highlighted the fitted bodices. Their bouffant skirts were fashioned with a shirred back accented with satin roses. Matching crowns with crystal trim held their blush veils. Crystal necklaces and earrings were gifts from the bride. They carried fans of feathered pink carnations centered with pink sweetheart roses.
Mrs. Krultz witnessed the wedding of her daughter in a light blue sheath of silk organza with embroidery. A small jacket with a scoop neckline and short cap sleeves accented the fitted bodice. Her outfit was complimented with white accessories. The groom’s mother wore a light blue lace dress with a scoop neckline, short sleeves, fitted bodice and a slightly flared skirt. Beige accessories complemented her outfit. Each wore a corsage of cymbidium orchids.
Leonard Zukowski attended his brother as bestman. Groomsmen were Ronald Hribar, Greenwood, a cousin of the bride, and Michael Gene Krultz, the bride’s brother. Ushers were Robert Krultz, brother of the bride and Conrad Mamajek of Pittsburg, Pa. a cousin of he groom.
Nuptial music was furnished by the children’s choir, with Mrs. Matt Gassen at the organ.
A dinner, reception, supper and dance were held at the American Legion Hall for 375 guests.
The bride is a 1960 graduate of Neillsville High School, and attended Wisconsin State College in Eau Claire, where she was affiliated with the Newman club and Y. G. O. P. The groom was graduated from Thorp High School and is engaged in farming near Thorp. He also is an employee of the Clark County Highway Dept.
On their return from a wedding trip through the eastern states they will reside near Thorp.
