Miss Karlene Kleinschmidt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Kleinschmidt, Rt. 1, Loyal, and Harlen J. Berg, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Berg, Rt. 1, Dallas, were married Saturday, June 24, at 2 p.m. by Rev. B. F. Matter at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Riplinger.

The organist was Miss Jean Noeldner, Loyal, and Allen Wintrone, Barron, Sang, "I Love You Truly" and "the Lord’s Prayer."  The church was decorated with peonies, white stocks, pink carnations, blue and white daisies.

The bride was presented by her father. She wore a floor length gown of embroidered nylon organza.  It featured a Sabrina neckline, short sleeves and a full bouffant skirt with Shiffli embroidery.   A crown rimmed in seed pearls and rhinestones held her short bouffant, shoulder length, hand rolled veil of imported tulle illusion.  She carried a bouquet of lavender orchids with stephanotis in cascade arrangement.

Mrs. Virgil Kleinschmidt, St. Ignace, Mich., was matron of honor.  Virgil Kleinschmidt, St. Ignace, Mich., was bestman.  Billy Kleinschmidt, nephew of the bride, was ringbearer.

Ushers were James Kleinschmidt, St. Ignace, and Royce Lehman, Niles, Ill.

A dinner was served in the church parlors for 150 guests. A reception followed at the home of the bride and a dance at Kolb Park Pavilion, Colby.

The bride is a graduate of Loyal High School and is employed at the Citizens State Bank at Loyal.  Mr. Berg is a graduate of Barron High School, Wisconsin State College at Eau Claire, and has done graduate work in chemistry at Michigan State University at East Lansing, Mich.  He is an instructor at Wisconsin State College at Eau Claire.

After a wedding trip to western states they will make their home at Loyal for the summer and move to Eau Claire in the fall.
