Goehring, Harry (PhD - 6 AUG 1955)
From the St. Cloud Daily Times, St. Cloud, Minn. - Harry Goehring, biology teacher at St. Cloud State Teachers College, received his doctor of education degree August 6, 1955, in the commencement exercises at the University of North Dakota.
A native of Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) , Dr. Goehring was educated in the public schools of Wisconsin. In 1925 he was graduated from the Loyal High School. He received the bachelor of education degree from State Teachers College at Milwaukee, where he earned five athletic letters in track and cross country, and was named one of the honorees from the class of 1929. For two years he was employed as a high school science teacher and coach at Fall River, Wis.
In 1932 he received the master of philosophy degree in biology from the University of Wisconsin. For the next eleven years, Harry taught general science and biology in the public school at Minot, North Dakota.
Dr. Goehring has been a faculty member at St. Cloud for the past nine years. Before that he taught at Dickinson (N.D.) State College.
Dr. and Mrs. Goehring have three children, Donna, Dixie and Dawn.
