Pfohl, Mr./Mrs. John (15 OCT 1955)
Pastor and Mrs. John Pfohl celebrated their silver wedding anniversary, Saturday, Oct. 15, 1955. For the occasion Pastor Pfohl’s father, John Pfohl, Sr., who is 82 years old, his brother, Louis, and two sisters, Mrs. James Hasely and Mrs. Mervin Hasely and son Paul, came from Sanborn, N.Y., Their three children, Ruth of Gladbrook, Iowa, Ronald of Wartburg College, Waverly, Iowa, and Harold, at home, were all here for the occasion.
On Sunday, Pastor Edgar Milleville, Nasonville, conducted an anniversary service for Pastor and Mrs. Pfohl. Immediately following the regular morning worship service, a dinner was served in the church parlors by the Trinity Aid at noon for the honored couple and their guests. Pastor and Mrs. Pfohl were presented with a boutonniere and corsage, respectively.
Open house was held at Trinity Lutheran Church from 2 to 4 in the afternoon. Each organization of the church presented Pastor and Mrs. Pfohl with a purse, as did members individually. The entire celebration Sunday was a surprise for the Pfohl’s.
