Levis Township (13 July 1961)
The Levis-Dewhurst P. T. A. will meet tonight (Thursday) at 8 p.m. at the Meadow View School. All eligible voters are urged to attend this meeting. All money due to the Parent-Teachers Association is to be turned in at the meeting. All members are to furnish the lunch.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Matousek and Larry spent the weekend in Milwaukee. They took daughter-in-law and grandson home after they had spent two weeks here while her husband, Frank, Jr., was at Fort Jackson, S. C.
Mr. and Mrs. George Szaflarski, Sr. of Chicago, former residents of Levis, are spending two weeks here at their summer home.
Mrs. John Karlovski and daughter and Mr. and Mrs. George Kotty and son of Cicero, Ill., spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. James Matousek.
Mr. and Mrs. George Szaflarski and son spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Dodmead. Their daughter returned home with them after spending two weeks with her grandparents.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cernik and family of Wisconsin Rapids visited Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Cernik.
Louie Lautenbach entered Memorial Hospital Monday for surgery.
Mr. and Mrs. Louie Fitzmaurice visited Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Cernik.
David Sage is attending camp this week at Riverside Bible Conference at Amherst.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Mix of Florida have purchased the Glen Bush farm and will take possession the last of this week.
Mrs. Addie Becker of Alma Center, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Becker, Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bush, Dale and Charles of Greenwood, and Mrs. Ed Schoen and family, visited at the Glen Bush home Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Dick Fitzmaurice and family of Cavour, S. D., visited Friday at the Ed Holub home.
Mike Holub spent last week at Rhinelander with his dad, who works there. He fished and also visited Mr. and Mrs. George Holub.
Mr. and Mrs. Martin Kalina and family and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Subke enjoyed an outdoor barbecue Wednesday evening at the John Subke home. They entertained in honor of Mrs. Fred Subke’s birthday.
Mr. and Mrs. William Dankemyer and grandson of Lynn visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Louie Lautenbach.
