Kleissig, Katherine  (10 JULY 1883-27 JUNE 1953)

 

Mrs. Edward Klessig, 69, died at the Victory Memorial Hospital, Stanley, June 27, following a long illness.

 

Funeral services were held at the Myre Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, and burial was in the Beaver Town Cemetery. The Rev. William Baker officiated.

 

Mrs. Klessig, the former Katherine Brecker, was born in Switzerland. July 10, 1883.

 

She came when a child with her parents to Wisconsin and lived at Vesper. Later they moved to a farm in the town of Beaver. She lived in this vicinity until a year ago when she and her husband went to Stanley to live. Her marriage to Edward Klessig occurred in the town of Beaver, October 3, 1898.

 

She is survived by her husband, five daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Celia) Johnson, Stanley; Mrs. Walter (Alma) Hintz, Milwaukee; Mrs. Leo (Ann) Mandel, Boyd; Mrs. Ed (Irene) Myhre, New Richmond; and Mrs., Arnold (Eleanor) Molle, Unity; and two sons, Leo Klessig, Minneapolis, and Norman Klessig, Milwaukee. One sister, Mrs. Henry Awe, Owen; and two brothers, Frank Brecker, Loyal, and Adolph Brecker, Owen, also survive, and 22 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Three sisters preceded her in death.
