A three week honeymoon was spent in Northern Wisconsin by Sgt. and Mrs. George Nelson who were married in Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Medford, July 9. The Rev. A. J. Engel officiated at the 8 p.m. candlelight, double ring ceremony.

The bride, the former Miss Joyce Lucille Cherney, is the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. A. A. Cherney, Medford. Her husband, who is a staff sergeant in the U. S. Air Force, is the son of Dr. and Mrs. G. W. Nelson, Loyal.

The bride wore a gown of blush pink featured with a net halter and a lace jacket with long sleeves pointed at the wrists. A three tiered nylon tulle overskirt, with the outer one coming to points was worn over satin. Her pink finger-tip veil was attached to a seed-pearl trimmed crown style head dress.

Miss Janet Ann Cherney, sister of the bride, attired in a ballerina length frock of Aqua net over taffeta with a strapless bolero, served as maid of honor. She carried aqua and white carnations.

Miss Gay Nelson, Loyal, sister of the groom and Mrs. Edward Rhyner, Stetsonville, serving as bridesmaids, wore gowns and carried  bouquets similar to that of the maid of honor.

The flower girl, Denise Rhyner of Stetsonville, wore a floor length gown of orchid net over taffeta and carried a mixed bouquet of flowers in a white crocheted basket.

Edward Rhyner, Stetsonville, served the groom as best man, with Donald Kauffman, Loyal, and Gavin W. Young, Menasha,a cousin of the groom, were groomsmen.

Doald Doriot, Medford, and Reuben Zimmerman, Loyal, ushered.

The bride is a graduate of the Medford High School and the Minnesota School of Business in Minneapolis. She is employed as secretary at Mondoux Millwork Corp., in Medford.

Sgt. Nelson is a graduate of the Loyal High School and attended Whitewater State College and the University Extension in Wausau. He has recently been stationed at Dow Air Force Base, Bangor, Maine, to which he flew last week end. He immediately enplaned for the Pacific Coast and Japan. Mrs. Nelson will remain with her parents for the present.
