Rizner, Rose (19 March 1886 - 12 July 1961)

 

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from the Georgas Funeral home for Mrs. Mike (Rose) Rizner, 75, Rt. 1, Neillsville, who died late Wednesday, July 12. The Rev. Frank B. Harcey of the United Church of Christ, officiated. Burial was made in the Levis Cemetery.

 

Mrs. Rizner, the former Rose Kalas, was the daughter of the late Anton and Josephine (Neuberg) Kalas. She was born March 19, 1886, in Chicago, Ill., where she also received her education. In December 1907 she was married to Michael Rizner in Chicago.

 

In 1909 they came to Clark County, where they located in the Town of Washburn. They farmed here until 1946, when they retired and moved into Neillsville, living here for two years. They then returned to the Town of Washburn.

 

She is survived by her husband, Michael Rizner, and the following children: Anton Rizner, Elmhurst, Ill.; Emil Rizner, Chicago, Ill.; Miss Albie Rizner, Cicero, Ill.; Edward Rizner, Tomah; William Rizner, Rt. 1, Neillsville; Mrs. Arthur (Bessie) Meier, Neillsville; George Rizner, West Allis; Frank Rizner, Milwaukee.  Other survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Antonette Koszek, Cicero, Ill.; Mrs. Edward (Anna) Schwamb, Chicago, Ill.; and Mrs. Ragnar (Emily) Mortenson, Rt. 1, Neillsville and sixteen grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

 

Pallbearers were her six sons, Anton, Emil, Edward, William, George and Frank.  "In the Garden" and "Beyond the Sunset" were sung by Mr. and Mrs. Don Tomson of Elmhurst, Ill.

 

People from away here for the service were: Mr. and Mrs. Anton Rizner and family, Elmhurst, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rizner and family, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. George Rizner, West Allis; Mrs. Elsbeth Wahlen, Madison; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rizner, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Stowell, Tomah; Mr. and Mrs. Emil Rizner, Mrs. Antonette Koszek, Miss Albie Rizner, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Schwamb, all of Chicago, Ill.
