Archie Dale Lyon, 598, of Riplinger, former Greenwood resident, died July 16 at Milwaukee County Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Lyon had visited relatives in Racine and were starting on their return trip to Riplinger, when he suffered a heart attack and died shortly after.

In 19231 he and his parents moved from Alma Center to Greenwood, where for many yeas they operated a restaurant. Fourteen years ago they moved to Riplinger, where they operated a general store until last June, when he retired.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Harold of Sparta, and William and Gerald of Riplinger; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Hill Funeral Home in Greenwood. The Rev. Orval Egbert, pastor of the United Church, officiated. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
