Elmhorst, Eleanora (23 March 1880 - 19 July 1961)

 

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from the Zion Lutheran Church in Granton of Mrs. Louis Elmhorst, 81, who died July 19, in Neillsville. The Rev. L. E. Schreiber officiated.  Burial was made in the church cemetery.

 

Mrs. Elmhorst, the former Eleanora Fehrmann, was born March 23, 1880, in La Grange, Ill.  She received her education in the schools there, and on December 18, 1904 she was married to Louis Elmhorst.  They moved to the Town of Lynn in 1916 and operated a farm there since. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church.

 

Surviving her are her husband; four daughters, Mr. C. E. (Edna) Bulgrenn, Cedar Rapids, Ia., Mrs. G. A. (Eleanore) Elliott, Elmhurst, Ill., Mrs. Ralph (Julie) Carrill, South Milwaukee, and Mrs. Byrl (Litta) Rowe, Owen; and a son, Edwin, of St. Louis Park, Minn.  Other survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Anna Hinkel, Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. Lillian Kirchoff, St. Paul, Minn.; a brother, Fred Fehrmann, La Grange, Ill.; and nine grandchildren.

 

Pallbearers were: Lambert Hines, Harry and Walter Elmhorst, Hilmer and William Fehrmann, and Ray Tyler.

 

Funeral arrangements were made by the Gilbertson Funeral Home.
