(A line missing) came Saturday morning to spend two weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cullen Dignin, his sister, Mrs. Jen Harden, and Mrs. Dorothy Bryner, and families, other relatives here, and Mr. Nibbe’s father and brother in Red Wing, Minn.
Mr. and Mrs. Victor Scheibe spent Thursday with Mr. and Mrs. E. Bagley in Osseo.
Mr. and Mrs. Louie Fitzmaurice were weekend guests of her sister, Mrs. Glen Bohl, in Reedsburg.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Clouse of Loyal were dinner guests, Sunday in the Henry Laffe home.
Mr. and Mrs. Steve Kushnervik and baby of East Chicago were guests Saturday and Sunday of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cullen Dignin. Sunday they called on Mr. and Mrs. Fred Barr, Mr. and Mrs Tom Perry and Mr. and Mrs. Will Dignin.
Mr. and Mrs. Karl Johnson and children of Kenosha came Saturday morning to spend a couple of weeks visiting here and in Altoona and Neillsville.
Mr. and Mrs. Dave Baily called Sunday at the Chester Baily home while on the way to Rockford, Ill., from a visit with friends in Rice Lake.
Mr. and Mrs. George Michels of Alma Center called Sunday evening in the Louie Fitzmaurice home.
Mrs. Mary Iffland, who was visiting in the Henry Laffe home, went to Melrose Monday to be with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Haag for a few days.
Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Campbell of Richland Center were Sunday afternoon guests of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Newton. Mr. and Mrs. Thane Joos, David, Karen and Herman Walters of Alma Center, also called there.
July has more and more birthdays. Saturday evening, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Terrell, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Gerber, Henry Stanley and Mrs. Lena Larson were at the Willard Stanley home to help Mrs. Stanley celebrate her birthday. Friday, Mr. and Mrs. Chet Baily drove to the Dale Struensee home in Neillsville to help Sandra Kay celebrate her second birthday.
Mr. and Mrs. Dale Dignin and children of Neillsville, Mrs. Laura Dignin, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Dignin and family were afternoon guests Sunday of the Cullen Dignins and their guests. Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Hein joined the group for a short visit.
Stanley Dettinger of Northfield and Mahlon Lund were in Appleton Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. William Goodbar of Waterloo, Ia., called Friday in the John Greub home. They were on their way home from a trip into Canada. Mrs. Goodbar is a daughter of Rev. Weidler, a former pastor of the Evangelical and Reformed Church.
Mr. and Mrs. Glen Phillips of Neillsville spent Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. John Greub.
Mrs. Gretchen Cody of Cataract and Mrs. Dorothy Mark of Milwaukee called Sunday in the John Scheffer home.
Mr. and Mrs. Otis Dahl and children and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Gearing of Black River Falls, with Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Gearing and children, spent Sunday in their houseboat at Holcombe. While there they met Mr. and Mrs. Steve Figura of California former local residents, who were vacationing at the cottage of his sister, Mrs. Mary Deutschlander.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Bemis of Neillsville, and two grandchildren, Ricky and Raymond Brooks, from Ottawa, Ill., called Sunday on his mother, Mrs. Amelia Bemis. Later all called at the Danny Wallace home.
Mrs. H. F. Nygard and Mrs. Louise Kvern of Madison, Mrs. Stanley Dettinger of Northfield, and Mrs. Sina Hauge of Black River Falls were weekend visitors of Mahlon and Rudolph Lund.
Mr. and Mrs. Cullen Dignin spent Thursday at the Roy Hart home in Eau Claire.
Thursday night, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Art Laffe, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Gearing attended the Firemen’s banquet at Hatfield.
