Wehling, Charles (30 APR 1886 - 24 DEC 1955)
Charles Wehling, 69, died in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 24, 1955. His death followed an illness of several months.
Charles Wehling was born at Spokeville (Clark Co., Wis.) , April 30, 1886. He received his education in the rural schools of this vicinity. He was married to Isabel Schweiger June 1, 1901. The years of his life were spent in farming. In his later years he was also an insurance agent. He was secretary and treasurer for the Lutheran Cemetery Board for 24 years, and served as assessor for the town of Beaver for 11 years.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Louis (Elsie) Pachal, and Mrs. Raymond (Marie) Ertl of Loyal; two brothers, Albert Wehling, Loyal, and Frank Wehling, Pewaukee, and three grandchildren. One child, two brothers, and one sister preceded him in death. Funeral services were held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church, of which he was a member. The Rev. J.G. Pfohl officiated. Burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery.
