Filitz, Elmer A. (17 April 1902 - 31 July 1961)
Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 1:30 p.m. for Elmer A. Filitz, 59, Rt. 3, Neillsville, who died Monday in Memorial Hospital. The Rev. Jack Grether will officiate. Burial will be made in the Neillsville Cemetery.
Mr. Filitz, son of the late Otto and Minnie (Ehlers) Filitz, was born April 17, 1902, in Clark County. He received his education in the Town of Levis schools, and spent his entire life in Levis, having operated the home farm.
In 1936 he was married in Neillsville to the former Irene Huntley.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Frankie Filitz, at home; and a step-son, Darcey Gross of Milwaukee; two sisters, Mrs. N. J. (Martha) Noltner, Madison, and Mrs. Harvey (Leda) Palmer, Portland, Ore.; a brother, Herbert Filitz, Neillsville; and five step-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are being made by the Georgas Funeral Home.
