Edwin Vogt who has been clerking at Birningwood since last September, returned home Monday, and will remain during the summer.
Members of the Ladies’ Aid and I.O.G.T. [International Order of Good Templars], served warm lunches at the Heintz block on election day, the bill of fare being coffee, doughnuts, buns and hot sausage.
Etta Brintnall, who has been teaching the past year south of Greenwood, closed a successful term of school Friday and returned home Saturday to enjoy a month’s rest.
J. Brown of Illinois purchased and shipped a carload of stock from this vicinity. He has shipped several carloads of hay and potatoes from here during the past month.
Tessie Dunn of Thorp, who has been attending Stevens Point Normal the past year and who was formerly a teacher here, stopped off to visit with friends on her way home.
The following are the town officers elected for the ensuing year for the town of Unity: Chairman -- Edgar Ayer; supervisors -- Frank Seefeld, Louis Justman; clerk -- F.A. Schmitz; treasurer -- Wm. Domer; assessor -- Joseph Frane; justices of the peace -- H.J. Kohlhepp, Henry Domer; constables -- Sigfred Falck, Lynn Pickett, and Cullen Ayer.
