Rhodes, Nola Jean (Marriage - 19 August 1961)
An arrangement of candles, palms, white pompons and lavender gladioli formed the setting Saturday for the wedding of Miss Nola Jean Rhodes of Marshfield, and Ramon Hagedorn of Neillsville, who were married in a double ring ceremony performed by the Rev. T. Bradke in Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Marshfield.
Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs. Victor Rhodes, Marshfield, and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hagedorn, Neillsville.
Robert Mitte, Neillsville, sang, "The Wedding Prayer" and "The Lord’s Prayer" prior to the candlelight service. He was accompanied by Mrs. Bradke.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attired in a gown that featured tiers of white Shiffli embroidery on nylon tulle over net and taffeta, with the skirt extending into a chapel train. Her shoulder-length veil cascaded from a queen‘s crown of cut crystal. Her bouquet consisted of white gardenia and white stephanotis, entwined with ivy.
Mrs. Elroy Paasch Marshfield, the matron of honor, and Mrs. Donald Marg of Neillsville, bridesmaid, wore dresses of lavender Shiffli embroidery on white nylon (balance of wedding was missing from my copy) .
