Allemang, Ida (10 SEP 1873 - 7 JAN 1958)

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Allemang, a resident of this community (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.) for 34 years, will be held at two o’clock Friday afternoon, Jan. 10, at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home.  The Rev. James Stone, pastor of the Alliance Church, Owen, will officiate, with burial being made at Riverside Cemetery.  Acting as pallbearers will be Clark Nissen, William Mattson, Harold Tietsch, C.E. Beck, John Bacon and Roy Anderson.

 

Mrs. Ida Allemang passed away at the Havenet Rest Home in Owen Tuesday evening at 5:00 o’clock at the age of 84 years and 4 months.  Death was due to old age complications.  Mrs. Allemang was born in Richland County on Sept. 10, 1873, the daughter of John and Clara Stetler.

 

She was married to George Allemang in 1894.  They were pioneers of Taylor County, having moved to Jump River in 1898.  They moved to Owen in 1924.  Her husband preceded her in death in 1933, and also a son, Flay, and daughter, Connie.

 

She leaves to mourn, two sisters, Mrs. Maude Ward of Owen, and Mrs. Leroy Landon of Wis. Rapids, and three brothers, Lin Stetler of Dunedin, Fla., Bert Stetler of Mauston, and Grover Stetler of Camp Douglas.  One brother, Elden, preceded her in death.
