Pieper, Mary Lee (Marriage - 26 August 1961)

 

Wedding vows were exchanged Saturday in Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal by Miss Mary Lee Pieper, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pieper, Loyal, and Gerold Sternitzky, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Sternitzky, Rt. 1 Granton. The double ring ceremony was performed before an altar decked with bouquets of Rose begonias and gladioli by the Rev. Frank Pieper an uncle of the bride, from Kimball, S. D., and the Rev. F. Ganz of Loyal.

 

Anthony Cherney gave his niece in marriage.

 

For her wedding Miss Pieper wore a floor length gown of nylon tulle, the full bouffant skirt of which was accented in the back with tiers of rosepoint lace and nylon tulle. The fitted Basque bodice was styled with a scalloped Sabrina neckline and long, tapered sleeves. She carried a bouquet of gardenias and roses.

 

Miss Karen Gerke of West Allis was her maid of honor. Serving as bridesmaids were Rose Mary Cherney and Mrs. Ralph Riedel.

 

The groom was attended by Norbert Sternitzky of Plymouth as best man. William Ehlers, Greenwood, and Ralph Riedel, Granton, were his groomsmen. Jeffery Cherney was ringbearer.  Anthony Cherney, Milwaukee, and Gilbert Sternitzky, Granton, ushered.

 

The bride is a graduate of Loyal High School. Mr. Sternitzky is a graduate of Granton High School and is a carpenter.  They will reside in Loyal on their return from a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin and Michigan.

D.; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Pieper, Loganville; Mr. and Mrs. John Pieper, Reedsburg; Mr. and Mrs. Julius Newman, Oconomowoc; Mrs. Herman Kmithe, Mauston; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Pieper, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Sternitzky and Norbert Sternitzky, Plymouth; Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Ehlers, Greenwood.
