Petersen, Niels (21 JUN 1889 - 10 MAR 1958)
Final services for Niels Petersen were held March 13 at Nazareth Lutheran Church here, with the Rev. W. Clayton Nielsen officiating. Two hymns were sung by Mrs. J.F. Saarinen, accompanied by Miss Louise Hansen of Withee. Pallbearers were John Parker, Duane Mrotek, John Potocnik, Paul Bladl, Roy Clark and Peter Krarup.
Mr. Petersen died March 10, 1958 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, following a stroke. He had been in ill health for the past few years. He was born June 21, 1889 in Cedar Falls, Iowa, and came to this vicinity (Clark Co., Wis.) as a boy with his foster parents. He married Anna Petersen Dec. 21, 1912. She preceded him in death.
Survivors are one son, Floyd of Spencer, and two grandchildren.
