Miss Martha D. Stark, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Stark of Withee, Clark County, Wis., and Arleigh N. Melbinger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Melbinger, town of Reseburg, Clark County, were united in marriage at Owen at 10:00 a.m. on Nov. 16th, 1929 by Rev. W. P. Powell.
They were attended by Mr. Orta Cornwall of Thorp and Miss Mary L. Siggelkow of Withee. Immediately after the wedding the newlyweds and their attendants motored to Chippewa where pictures were taken, after which they spent the remainder of the day with friends at Eau Claire, returning that evening to Withee where a dance was given by the newlyweds.
The young couple is postponing their honeymoon until after the school session. They are making their home with the groom's parents for the time being, as the bride will contiue teaching the Poppe School in the town of Longwood.
Their many friends wish them a long and happy wedded life.
