Miss Frances Christian, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Howard of this village (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) , and Mr. Harold Shock of Stanley, were united in marriage at the M. E. Church at Stanley on Tuesday morning, June 12, 1928. The ceremony was performed by Rev. J. B. Johnson. The couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Ryland Shock. The bride wore a handsome gown of orchid colored crepe. The newlyweds departed the same day on an auto trip to Sheboygan Falls, Madison and other points, to spend their honeymoon, and upon their return will make their home at Stanley, where Mr. Shock conducts a barber shop. Miss Christian has been employed at "The Courier" printing office here as linotype operator during the past five years, and carries with her our best wishes as well as those of her large circle of friends in the community.
