Jones, Angeline (30 APR 1927)
(Antigo Journal)
At a one o'clock luncheon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Jones this afternoon, the announcement was made of the marriage of their daughter, Angeline, to Mr. Robert A. Childs, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Childs of Thorp, Clark County, Wis. The marriage took place at Bayport, Minn. on April 30, 1927. The announcement was a complete surprise to the intimate friends of the bride.
The ceremony, followed by a wedding dinner, was performed by the Rev. Loehr of the First Presbyterian Church at White Pine Inn at 5 o'clock in the afternoon in the presence of the immediate families. Miss Adeline Jones, the bride's sister, was her only attendant, and Newton Jones of Rice Lake, her brother, acted as best man.
The bride was graduated from Antigo High School and Oshkosh Normal School. She also attended Ripon College and has completed two years of teaching at Owen, Clark County.
The bridegroom is a graduate of the Thorp High School and has spent the last two years at Los Angeles.
Mr. and Mrs. Childs will leave by automobile the last of June for Los Angeles, where they will be at home after Aug. 1. They will stop enroute at Yellowstone Park.
