Killian, Marion E. (19 MAY 1928)
After a series of prenuptial entertainments culminating in a maid-of-honor's dinner at the Wis. Club, Milwaukee, Friday night, Miss Marion Ethel Killian, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Killian of Milwaukee, and Mr. Frank John Tolford, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Tolford of this village (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) , were united in marriage Saturday morning, May 19th, 1928, at St. Michael's Church, Milwaukee.
Miss Killian's period gown was white satin and lace and she wore a white picture hat. Her colonial bouquet was roses, lilies of the valley and sweet peas. She was attended by Miss Margaret Rauser of Milwaukee, whose bouquet harmonized with her white taffeta dress and red picture hat. Mr. James Tolford, brother of the groom, acted as best man and Messrs. Francis J. Conway of Thorp, and Herbert Kropp of Milwaukee, were ushers.
The ceremony was followed by a reception at the Killian home and a wedding breakfast at the Hotel Astor, to which thirty guests were invited. Among them were Mrs. R. H. Tolford, the Misses Minnie B. and Dorothy Tolford, Mrs. A. McC. Wilson, of Grinnell, Iowa, and Mr. Joshua R. Tolford.
The couple will reside in Milwaukee, where the groom is employed as advertising manager of the Weyenberg Shoe Co.
