Peeples, Edna (23 JUN 1928)
(Augusta, Wis. Eagle Times)
On Saturday afternoon, June 23rd, 1928, at five o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Sears, Toledo, Ohio, occurred the marriage of Miss Edna Peeples, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. McKee Peeples of Thorp, Clark County, Wis., and Hugo Miske of Detroit, Mich. oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Miske of this city.
The home was beautifully decorated and the interesting ceremony was performed by the Rev. Fletcher Lewis, pastor of the Euclid Av. Trinity M. E. Church of Toledo. Following the ceremony a wedding reception was held for the family and intimate friends. Those attending from out of town were: Mrs. E. J. Miske of Augusta, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. C. O. Glye and daughter Nettie of Detroit, Mich.
The young couple left immediately for their future home in Detroit, Mich., where the groom has a responsible position with the Kroger Chain Stores Co., headquarters.
The bride formerly taught in our high school and was very popular and highly respected by both young and old of our community. The groom is a graduate of our high school and later took a course with a business college. For a time he was with the wholesale form of Carson, Pirie, Scott & Co., of Chicago, later accepting a position with the Kroger Co. at Detroit.
