Rauchfuss, Hattie (6 FEB 1906)
Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock A.M. Mr. Joseph Scholtz and Miss Hattie Rauchfuss were united in the holy bonds of matrimony at St. Louis Catholic Church, Rev. Birsner officiating. The bridal couple was attended by Messrs. F. J. Scholtz and Herman Rauchfuss, and Misses Frieda Rauchfuss and Anna Peissig.
The groom wore the conventional black and the bride was dressed in cream. The couple are both residents of the town of Little Black, Taylor Co. After the ceremony the bridal party proceeded to the home of the bride's parents where an elaborate dinner awaited them.
A feature of the wedding was the auctioneering of the bride's and groom's left shoe, which netted the couple $6.50. The afternoon and evening was spent in dancing and merrymaking.
We wish the young couple a happy and prosperous journey through life together.
