Davis, Mary Irene (Marriage - 9 September 1961)
Nuptial vows were exchanged Saturday by Miss Mary Irene Davis, Rt. 2, Neillsville, and Edward Strangfeld, Rt. 2, Neillsville, in the Methodist Church in Neillsville. The double ring ceremony uniting them in marriage was performed by the Rev. Lloyd Mauer.
Parents of the couple are Mrs. Dorothy Davis and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Strangfeld.
The bride, given in marriage by her uncle, Otto Gorzlitz, was attired in a floor length gown of nylon net over taffeta. The full bouffant shirt was fashioned with tiers of lace forming an overskirt in the back. The fitted bodice with long, fitted sleeves was styled with a pearl-edged scalloped neckline. Her fingertip veil cascaded from a tear-drop crown. She carried a bouquet of red roses entwined with green.
Miss Louise Davis attended her sister as maid of honor. Her bridesmaid was Miss Bonnie Strangfeld.
The bestman was Raymond Strangfeld, and groomsman was Byrl Strangfeld. Clarence Davis and Donald Strangfeld were the ushers.
On their return from a wedding trip to the southern part of the state, they will reside at 425 Hewett Street, Neillsville.
People from away here for the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Otto Gorzlitz, Kaukauna; Mr. and Mrs. Dick Abliter, Barnum, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Abliter, Minneapolis, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Dean Lind, Minneapolis, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Quast, Sparta; Mr. and Mrs. James Deacon, Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Sischo, Loyal.
