Levis Township (14 September 1961)

 

Lunches started at the new Pine View School Tuesday, Mrs. Martha Lautenbach as cook, and Mrs. Elsie Holub as assistant.

 

Mrs. Louise Hadasek, Mr. and Mrs. James Kunes and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Boryzn of Brookfield, Ill., visited Friday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Holub.  Mr. and Mrs. Holub spent Saturday evening with them at Hatfield.

 

Mrs. Louise Hadasek, Mrs. Ed Boryzn and Mrs. James Kunes, and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Holub of Alma Center visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Holub.

 

Robert Subke and Barry Lipton of Los Angeles, Calif., left Tuesday for their homes after visiting the last two weeks at the Fred Subke, Martin Kalina and John Subke homes.

 

Mr. and Mrs. John Subke and family visited Sunday morning with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Subke.

 

Mary Filitz, R. N., returned to her duties Tuesday at Memorial Hospital after a vacation of two weeks.

 

Mrs. Herbert Schoenherr and Mrs. Charles Marek checked 4-H record books Monday evening at the district meeting.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Jake Fitzmaurice, Mrs. LeRoy Fitzmaurice and girls of Janesville, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Fitzmaurice and Terri of River Falls, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cernik and family of Wisconsin Rapids visited last weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Cernik.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Norman Opelt and Ronnie of Madison visited Tuesday thru Thursday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Art Opelt.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Opelt of Northfield, Ill., visited from Thursday until Monday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Art Opelt.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hagie and family visited Mr. and Mrs. Charles Marek Sunday evening.

 

Mrs. Donald Hagie, Mrs. Floyd Hagie and Mrs. Cecil Minette were in Eau Claire Wednesday. They called on Mrs. Emily Schilling in Altoona.

 

The Pine View P. T. A. will meet this (Thursday) evening at 8 o’clock; all members to furnish lunch.
