Mr. and Mrs. Jake Fitzmaurice were here Saturday. They are a bit shaky yet, but happy they are coming along quite well since their recent accident.
Marvin Schuld, Art Zerbel and Kally Theiler attended the Minnesota State Fair at Minneapolis, Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Hunt of Portland, Ore., are visiting her brother, Perle Pickett.
Among our sick folks: Mrs. Lee Terrell is still in the hospital at Black River Falls, but is much better since her operation; Mrs. Albert Van Kirk is in the hospital.
Mrs. Matie Smith returned home last week from her visit in Appleton.
Mrs. Laura Holman of Minneapolis is visiting Mrs. Ida Holman in Osseo. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Duerkop spent Monday in Osseo with the Mesdames Holman.
Mr. and Mrs. Orin Janke, Leo and Richard Janke and their mother, attended the funeral of Lt. Col. Edwin Fenske in Tomah Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Buttke entertained a large group of friends Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Cullen Dignin visited Sunday afternoon in the Ellis Williams home. Mr. and Mrs. John Flynn of Neillsville also were guests.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hanson of Newell were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Louie Fitzmaurice Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Dauzer and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Zick of North Freedom spent Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Peter Hemmy and Mrs. Freda Zerbel and Art. Mrs. Zerbel accompanied her guests to their homes to spend until Thursday, then visited in the home of her daughter, Mrs.(missing names) .
Mr. and Mrs. Chet Baily were dinner guests Sunday in the Clarence Larson home at Pittsville.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Tande of Alma Center spent Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Herman Gerber.
Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Taylor of Dancy visited the Melvin Markhams recently.
Kenny Seelow and Belle Mazola of Milwaukee were weekend guests of Mrs. Harry Hanson. They attended the silver wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Leland Hanson at Granton.
Mr. and Mrs. George Dahl of Garden Valley were dinner guests Sunday of Miss Elsie Jahn. In the afternoon the Dahls accompanied by Miss Elsie Jahn, Mrs. Mae Ringrose and Warren Luebke, drove to Marshfield to call on Clarence Jahn in the hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Zell called Sunday in the Jack Gephart home.
Mrs. Mary Iffland of New London was a dinner guest Saturday in the Henry Laffe home. Mrs. Iffland was on her way to Taylor to be in her brother’s home for a while.
Mrs. Pearl Clouse, Carol, Norman and Frank of Greenwood spent Thursday evening in the Henry Laffe home. Frank is in the Navy.
Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Walker spent Sunday on the farm with their son, Conrad.
Wednesday Mrs. Ernest Lane and boys of Eau Claire and Mrs. Hattie Olson helped Mrs. Trotz celebrate her birthday.
Tommie Gard came home Saturday from Yellowstone Park, where he worked during summer vacation.
Thursday the W. R. C. Ladies brought in a birthday cake and helped Mrs. Cora Trotz celebrate her birthday.
Mr. and Mrs. Bud Gjerseth, Roxie and Randy of Rhinelander, spent Saturday and Sunday with Mrs. George Gjerseth and relatives.
Miss Virginia Johnson of Madison spent four days recently at the Schuyler Burlingame home.
Mr. and Mrs. Hollis Beede took their daughter, Karen, back to Whitewater Wednesday to resume her duties.
Mr. and Mrs. George Andrews entered the hospital at Black River Falls Thursday. The Elwood Andrews family of Maiden Rock visited them Sunday.
Mrs. Oscar Olson and Mrs. Harlan Anderson drove to Oshkosh Sunday and attended a La Point family picnic.
Mr. and Mrs. John Anger and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Anger and family attended the Drum and Bugle Choir in Eau Claire. Terry and Wade, sons of the Kenneth Angers are members.
Mrs. Guy Hobart and Mrs. Guy Ransom called on Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Proctor Friday at the Infirmary in Black River Falls.
Donnie Zlesak took Mrs. Claude Forbush to Eau Claire one day last week for a check up on her eyes.
Mr. and Mrs. Ken Lee of Rockford, Ill., and Mrs. Edgar Fay of Black River Falls, spent Tuesday with the Leland Duxbury family. The Lees had spent a week near Chetek on a lake.
