Stafford, Daniel Isaac (7 August 1899 - 30 September 1961)

 

Daniel Isaac Stafford, 62, of Greenwood, died early last Saturday morning in Neillsville.  He had undergone surgery three weeks before.

 

Mr. Stafford, son of John Henry and Nellie (Benedict) Stafford, was born August 7, 1899, in Janesville.  He came to Greenwood with his parents in 1907. They settled on a farm southwest of here and in May 1910, moved onto a farm north of the city.  In 1943, they moved into the city.  He and his brother Harry lived together.  He was never married.

 

Surviving are two brothers, Harry of Greenwood and Kenneth of Winneconne; a sister, Mrs. Paul (Lillian) Rossman of Withee; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Edith Staford of Winneconne; and two nephews.

 

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from Grace Methodist Church; Military rites were conducted by the Wallis-Hinker Legion Post, No. 238. The Rev. Gene W. Carlson officiated. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
