Chili (5 October 1961)
The Evangelical United Brethren Church of Chili observed its annual fall festival Sunday. Following the morning services and Holy Communion a potluck dinner was served in the church parlors.
Rev. Lester Meyer, pastor of Zion Evangelical United Brethren Church of Marshfield, was the guest speaker in the afternoon program. The Men’s quartet sang several selections, Miss Gayle Booth a solo and Lyle Zimmerman read the scripture. This year’s offering is to be used to redecorate the church.
Mr. and Mrs. Leland Bartsch and family, Plover, were Sunday guests at the Ezra Schilling home.
Mr. and Mrs. Dale Zimmerman, Madison, were Weekend guests at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Zimmerman.
The W. S. W. S. members of the Chili Evangelical United Brethren Chruch attended the fall missionary institute held in the Marshfield E. U. B. Church Wednesday. Miss Alice Johnson, Beverly, Ky., was guest speaker.
