Funeral services were conducted Friday at 1 p.m. from the United Church of Christ for the Rev. Ben J. Stucki, who died October 3.
The Reverends Frank B. Harcey and Wilson Bixler officiated.
Following the Neillsville service the body was taken to the Mission Church near Black River Falls, where the Rev. Mr. Bixler and the Rev. John Scheib officiated. Burial was made in the Indian Mission Cemetery.
Pallbearers at the Neillsville service were: Rev. Edwin Otte, Rev. Victor Grosschwesch, Richard Schneider, Herbert M. Smith, Dr. Milton C. Rosekrans and John R., Temte.
At the Mission service, pallbearers were: Gilbert, Daniel, Theodore and Cloris Lowe, Murray and Fred Whiterabbit.
"All the way My Savior Leads Me" and "Take Thou my Hand and Lead Me" were the hymns sung. Rev. and Mrs. Jack Grether were the singers at the Mission Church, with Miss Gretchen Hauser as accompanist. Mrs. Jack Grether and Mrs. Robert D. Peters accompanied the Men’s Chorus of the United Church of Christ at the services in Neillsville.
The Winnebago Indian Veterans had charge of the burial service at the Mission. Lavern Carriman, who was in charge, also was the bugler. Color guards were Sam Little Soldier and Millard White Eagle. The firing squad consisted of John White Eagle, Sr., and Jr., Robert Blackdeer, Clifford Lowe, Harry Blackdeer, Andrew Thundercloud, Emanuel Thundercloud, Emerson Decorah and Alvin Blackdeer.
Murry Whiterabbit spoke at the cemetery and presented the American flag to Mrs. Stucki.
