Johnson, Otto (16 May 1887 - 3 October 1961)
Otto Johnson, 74, who lived on Rt. 1, Owen, died October 3 of a heart attack. He had been in ill health for some time. Death came at his home in the Town of Longwood.
The funeral took place October 6 in Owen. Burial was made in Riverside Cemetery, Withee. The Rev. Timmerman of the Lutheran Church, Green Grove, officiated.
Born in Sweden, May 16, 1887, he went to Chicago in 1914. He married Kristine Johnson in 1920. In 1922, they came to Owen and settled on a farm two miles south of Owen.
His wife, three sons, two daughters and five grandchildren survive. The children are: Mrs. Ruth Simons, Chicago; Mrs. Ellen Sahlburg, Lombard, Ill.; Arthur Johnson, Withee; Robert of Owen; and Walter of Franklin Park, Ill.
Pallbearers were Norman Porath, Charles Pribbenow, George Elranto, Lester Kellberg, Carl Sillampa and Arni Kolepene.
