Lukowicz, Ida #3 (30 SEP 1882 - 12 MAY 1958)

 

Mrs. Ida Lukowicz, 75, died of a heart attack early Monday morning in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

 

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday in St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. John Pinion officiating.  Burial will be made at the Colby St. Mary’s Cemetery.

 

The body is at the Lulloff Funeral Home, where the Christian Mothers recited a rosary at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday.  A general rosary service will be held Thursday at 9:00 p.m.

 

The former Ida Gierl was born in Colby on Sept. 30, 1882, and was married to Leo J. Lukowicz June 6, 1904.  They operated the Lukowicz Photo Studio in Colby until his death in June 1928, when she took over the management until 1947.  At that time her sons took the business.  She was a member of the Christian Mothers and Royal Neighbors.

 

The following sons and daughters survive: John, Owen; Leo Jr., Colby; Mrs. Clem (Ann) LaFond, West DePere; and Mrs. Duane (Jane) Baumgart, Marshfield.  Other survivors are two brothers, George Gierl and Louis Gierl, both of Colby; three sisters, Mrs. Hugo Dheim, Clintonville; Mrs. Mary Dietrich, Milwaukee; and Mrs. Kathryn Seabury, Grand Rapids, Mich.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
