Laakso, Audrey E. (17 MAY 1958)

Miss Audrey E. Laakso, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Einar W. Laakso, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), exchanged marriage vows with Dallas D. Granquist, Gilman, on Saturday, May 17, 1958.  The Rev. John T. Saarinen was the officiant at the two o’clock ceremony in Bethany Lutheran Church, Owen.

Miss Karen Potocnik provided the organ music as Miss Sandra Sippey sang "Oh Promise Me" and "The Lord’s Prayer."

Miss Laakso approached the altar on the arm of her father wearing a ballerina length dress of Chantilly type lace over satin.  The fitted bodice had a scalloped scoop neckline and long tapered sleeves.  The full skirt was edged with lace scallops.  A French imported silk illusion veil cascaded from a half-hat of horsehair braid with side clips.

Attendants of the couple were Miss Marie Miolund of Owen and Arthur W. Laakso of Abilene, Texas.  Miss Miolund wore a blue ballerina length dress of nylon net over taffeta.  The strapless bodice had a gathered stole over the shoulders and a matching cummerbund of nylon chiffon.  Rows of small ruffles detailed the skirt and a horsehair braid tiara with flowers and a veil completed her attire.

Daniel Boone, Jr., and Arthur Anderson ushered.

Mrs. Granquist has been employed by Employers Mutual of Wausau.  They will make their home in Gilman.
