Tews, Janice (Marriage - 7 October 1961)
Nuptial vows were exchanged Saturday in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville, uniting in marriage Miss Janice Tews, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Tews of Neillsville, and Glenn Suckow, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Suckow, Rt. 1 Neillsville. The Rev. Norman Lindloff performed the double ring ceremony.
Mr. Tews gave his daughter in marriage. She wore a floor-length gown of Peau Satin, with full bouffant skirt. Appliqués of leaves and petals fashioned the portrait neckline of the fitted bodice. The neckline also was enhanced with seed pearls, sequins and frosted beads. A princess crown, fashioned in pleated tulle and Chantilly lace and adorned with sequins and seed pearls, held her silk illusion fingertip veil. Long, tapered sleeves came to a point at her wrists. She carried a bridal bouquet of white stephanotis and ivy centered with pink rosebuds.
Miss Luann Tews attended her sister as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Roger Grottke and Mrs. Melvin Marg. They were attired in crystal satin street length dresses in royal blue. Scoop necklines and three-quarter length sleeves accented the fitted bodices. Matching bands in a bow design held their blush veils and each carried a double wedding ring bouquet of pink feathered carnations.
Roger Vine of Duluth, Minn., was bestman. Groomsmen were Roger Grottke and Melvin Marg, both of Neillsville. Ushers were Russell Wold and Adrian Hubing.
"The Lord’s Prayer" and "The Wedding Prayer" were sung by Miss Carol West, accompanied by Victor Lehman.
Mr. and Mrs. Suckow, both graduates of the Neillsville High School, will reside on Rt. 1, Neillsville.
