Mr. and Mrs. Perle Pickett and nephew, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Dunn of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Van Horn of Hixton, and Mr. and Mrs. Vern Bopp of Alma Center enjoyed a picnic dinner at Trempealeau Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Louie Fitzmaurice attended the golden wedding anniversary observance of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Markham last Saturday in Neillsville.
Mr. and Mrs. Bert Terrell entertained company from out of town Saturday and Sunday.
Rev. and Mrs. Carl Serr and Catharine and Mrs. Peter Hemmy visited in the Wallace Hemmy home in Mondovi Wednesday.
Tuesday Mrs. Carl Serr, Mrs. Maude Kirby and Mrs. Leone Scholze attended a regional meeting of the Woman’s guild in Medford.
Sunday, October 23, there will be a guest speaker, Rev., Jacob Grether, of the Indian School of Neillsville, as part of the pulpit exchange for United Seminary appeal.
The committee on the UNICEF program, composed of members of the Methodist and St. John’s churches, has planned a program and games with a lunch following the usual ‘trick or treat" for Halloween. The funds collected will be used to feed the hungry children of the world.
