Schultz, Gerhardt (20 APR 1929-? Sept 1953)
Gerhardt 24, Willard, Route one, operator of the Gorman Cheese Factory in the Town of Eaton and former resident of this area was killed instantly last Friday morning when his car and one driven by Odin Wang of Neillsville crashed at an intersection west of Greenwood.
Schultz was employed at the Catlin Corner Cheese Factory prior to moving to Willard.
The accident occurred at the intersection of County Trunk O and a town road 3 miles west and three miles south of Greenwood.
Funeral services were held at St. John’s Lutheran Church at Spencer Monday afternoon, the Rev. Richard J. Scholz officiating. Burial was made in the parish cemetery.
Gerhardt Albert Schultz was born in the town of Unity on April 20, 1929, the son of Mr. And Mrs. Albert Schultz. He attended the Lutheran parochial school and Spencer High. He married the former Carol Schmidt at Spencer October 3, 1948.
The victim is survived by his wife, three children, Sandra, Barbara and Robert; his parents, Spencer; four sisters, Mrs. Ernest Krause and Bernadine Schultz, Spencer, and Eunice and Mabel Schultz, Marshfield; and a brother, Norbert Schultz, Spencer.
