Melziva, Anna (8 October 1888 - 2 November 1961)

Mrs. James Melziva, 73, died November 2, at the Havenet Home in Owen, where she and her husband had rooms.

Her body lay in state at the Haeper and Kraut Funeral home from Thursday evening. Funeral services were held Saturday morning from Holy Rosary Church, Owen, with the Rev. Father H. L. Crubel officiating.  Burial was made in Riverside Cemetery, Withee.

Mrs. Anna Melziva, nee Anna Kopinek, was born October 8, 1888, in Kelnersville, where she was married in 1909 to James Melziva. They moved into a home near Redville, six miles north of Withee, shortly afterward, where they lived until they moved to Owen in 1959.

They had a daughter, Mrs. Fred (Mildred) Framen of Stratford; a granddaughter, Mrs. Andrey Anderson; and a great-grandson, Dale, also of Stratford. Three sisters and four brothers also survive, as does her husband.

Pallbearers were: Wm. Warns, John Lesneski, John Greschner, Joe Micke, Gene Mertens and Minus Munson.
