Wallis, Alice Maud (14 October 1877 - 11 November 1961)
Mrs. Dean Wallis, 84, died Saturday evening at the Clark County Hospital in Owen, where she had been a patient for four months.
Mrs., Wallis, the former Alice Maud Langley, was born October 14, 1877, in Valparaiso, Ind. Her first marriage was to Zeph Sanford, who died. Her second marriage was to Dean Wallis on September 18, 1908. He died July 23, 1947.
She his survived by six daughters, Mrs. Ora Hulett of Hixton, Mrs. Mabel Conley of St. Paul, Mrs. Dewey (Leona) Plohn of Clayton, Mrs. John (Irene) Rydell, Mrs. Earl (Elenora) Mitchell and Mrs. John (Elsie) Montez, all of St. Paul; two sons, Donald of Wichita, Kans., and Harry of Greenwood; and by one step-son, Lee Wallis of San Francisco, Cal.; seventeen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Mattie Young of Joplin, Mo., and a brother, Harry Langley of Bitley, Mich., also survive.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Hill Funeral Home. Mrs. Henry Dahnert of Neillsville was the Christian Science reader. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
