Havelin, Ellard (9 November 1902 - 20 November 1961)
Ellard Havelin, 59, long time resident of Withee, died in the Marshfield hospital November 20. He had been ill for two years. The funeral was held November 22 from Bethany Lutheran Church in Owen.
Born November 9, 1902, in Wakefield, Mich., he spent his early childhood there. September 18, 1937, he was united in marriage to Miss Gudrun Bergum in Milwaukee. In 1940 he and his wife moved onto a farm near Owen, in the Town of Green Grove. For 20 years a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Owen, he took an active interest in affairs until his illness.
His wife survives and one daughter, Mrs. Tom (Virginia) Tetruzates, and a small grandson, of Thorp; his mother, Mrs. Mary Havelin, Owen; three sisters, Mrs. Thelma Parve, Milwaukee, Mrs. Dan (Pearl) Arola of Owen, and Mrs. Lee (Mabel) Earl of Idaho City, Ida.; and three brothers, Emil of Loyal, Walfred of Owen, and Arthur of Chicago, Ill.
