Cox, Ernest E. (11 October 1864 - 29 November 1961)
Ernest E. Cox, 97, of Edgerton, former Greenwood resident, died November 29, at Edgerton hospital after a brief illness. Funeral services were held Friday morning in Edgerton. The body was brought to Greenwood, where a short service and committal took place at the Greenwood Cemetery. The Rev. Victor Skogg of Edgerton officiated.
Ernest Cox, son of John and Dorcas (Edmund) Cox, was born October 11, 1864, in Canada. He lived in Greenwood, where he was employed in logging and lumbering camps, most of his life. Twenty-five years ago he went to Edgerton to reside with his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Cox.
He was married in November 1891 to Laura Cook. She died in Greenwood in 1902.
He is survived by his son, Clayton of Edgerton; two granddaughters, Mrs. Verne (Mildred) Kopke of Janesville and Mrs. James (Ruby) Blahm of Detroit, Mich.; four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Epf Cox of Spencer, presently a hospital patient in Marshfield.
