Watters, Joseph Virgil (21 February 1880 - 28 November 1961)

 

Joseph Virgil Watters, 81, former Neillsville resident, died in Menasha November 28.

 

He was born February 21, 1880, in Hazel Green.  In his youth, he came with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. John Watters, to Neillsville.  They resided on a farm at Weston Rapids, about a mile north of Neillsville. While in Neillsville the family was associated with the Methodist Church.

 

Since selling the farm here, Mr. Watters and his brother, Lloyd, had been engaged in the restaurant business at Menasha.

 

Other survivors include several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services were held November 30 in Menasha, with the Rev. John C. Hanchett, Congregational pastor, officiating. Burial was made Friday, December 1, in the family lot in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
