Allen, Tony Ray (21 May 1965 - 30 March 2011)
Tony R. Allen, age 45, of Lublin, passed away at his home on Wednesday, March 30, 2011. A memorial servicer will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 8, 2011, at Thorp Funeral Home, in Thorp, with Fr. Marian Talaga officiating. Burial will take place in the Town of Roosevelt Cemetery, in Lublin, at a later date. Visitation will be held at Thorp Funeral Home on Friday, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.
Tony Ray Allen was born on May 21, 1965, in Durand, WI the son of Henry Allen and Melva (Harlson) Gereau. He was raised in Chippewa Falls until 1978, at which time the family moved to a farm north of Withee. He worked on the family farm until 1985 and then as a farmhand until moving to Lublin in 1987. Tony was then employed at Phillips Plastics, in Medford, from 1987 until the present time.
Tony was very active in the Village of Lublin, serving as a Trustee on the Village Board and was instrumental in organizing the Lublin Days festivities every year.
He had many interests, but especially enjoyed visiting with family and friends - family was very important to him -- and 4-wheeling.
He will be dearly missed by three sisters: Tonia (Paul) Gereau of Lublin, Tina (Dan) Ustianowski of Lublin, and Tara (Brian) Zuber of Medford; half-brother, Richard (Bevin) Allen of Phelps, NY; step-brother, Eric Gereau of San Diego, CA; dear family friend, Deanna (John) Oleson, of Medford; two step-fathers; Gary Ahlen of Chippewa Falls, and James Gereau of Evansville, WI; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
