Commencement exercises held In Milwaukee recently had a number of nurse graduates from the city and county of Sheboygan in the two classes, September and January, 1952, of Evangelical school of Nursing.
Those in the first-listed group were Miss Loella Coking, whose parents are Mr. and Mrs. Carl Gokins, Route 2. Sheboygan; Miss Joan Patricia Brick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Radke. Reimer St.; Mrs. Carol Ann Hinz Sanfilippo. class secretary, whose parents are Mr. and Mrs. George Hinz. Route 3. Plymouth; Miss Dolores Zimmerman, daughter of Mrs. Clarence Zimmerman, 2434 Erie Ave.. and Miss Joan Yurk, class treasurer, whose parents are Mr. and Mrs. Fred Yurk. 816 Union Ave.
Parents and other members of the families and friends were present for the evening service at Trinity Evangelical and Reformed Church. The pastor of the church, the Rev. Rudolf E. Gruenke. gave the invocation and benediction. Organ selections and anthems by the Nurses, Chorus. "Dedication" by Franz and 'Into the Night" by Edwards ware music for the service. Miss Patricia Miller directed and Donald L. Palmer was the organist.
The address of the evening was given by Kdmund Fitzgerald and was entitled, "Born Not for Ourselves Only". He is president of Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co. and was presented by the Rev. A. H. Schmeuszer, D. D. administrator Milwaukee Children's Hospital. Director of the school, and diplomas and pins were conferred by the Rev. G. Giescr, D. D.
Miss Coking belonged to Deaconess Nurse's Choir for two years and was student council representative for the same period of time. She had three months of pediatric affiliation at Milwaukee Children's Hospital and a similar length of time was spent as a psychiatric affiliation at Winnebago State Hospital.
Two Milwaukee hospitals, Milwaukee Children's for pediatrics and Milwaukee County Mental for psychiatric, were affiliations for Mrs. Sanfilippo.
In addition to belonging to Deaconess Nurse's Choir. Miss Zimmerman was a member of the Milwaukee District Nurse's Chorus. She had her pediatric and psychiatric affiliations with Cook County Hospital for six months. The Nursing Scholarship of the Sheboygan Woman's Club was received by Miss Zimmerman.
Pediatric and psychiatric affiliations of Miss Yurk also were with Cook County Hospital.
All five are members of the class of September, 1952.
Previous reference to the January class was made in earlier issues. The graduates from this vicinity are Miss Dorothy Mac Bumis, Plymouth, class secretary; Missis Carol May Byrum, Carol May Hehn, Norine Lucilc Hickox. Sheboygan, Miss Joyce Augusta Molter. Cedar Grove, and Miss Jeannine Margaret Rehm, Plymouth, class president.

Nancy, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Zimmerman and daughter, Judith, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Mertz, Mr. and Mrs. David Kraus and son, Thomas, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Frederich, Mrs. Frank Mahlendorf, Mrs. Loraine De Smith. Mrs. Edwin Lang, Mrs. Carl Rickmeier. Miss Betty Zimmerman, Larry Zimmerman. Mr. and Mrs. Vern Hacker, two from Kohler, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Zimmerman. Marilyn Hinz, Plymouth. Others from a farther distance were William Grabinski. Hartford. Conn.; Mrs. Claude Riley. Des Plainos, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Brick. Chicago; Mr. and .Mrs. Ralph Dusso. Loyal. Wisconsin.
