Squad Car Hit
Irene Dusso, 48, and Gary Dusso, 14, Appteton, passengers in a car
driven by Ralph E. Dusso, 50, also of Appteton, were taken to St
Joseph's Hospital, Beaver Dam, for treatment of injuries sustained
when die car in which they were riding struck the rear of a Dodge
County squad car at 10:48 p.m. Sunday on Highway 151,1 1/2 miles
north of Beaver Dam.
According to the traffic report, the squad car, driven by Sergeant
Gilbert A. Korth, 42, Juneau, had stopped to investigate a car and
horse-trailer parked along side the highway, when the mishap
occurred. Dusso said he did not see the squad car soon enough to
stop. Mrs. Dusso was treated for a left wrist injury and her son,
Gary, a bump on the head. Mrs. Ruth Runholm, Waupaun, passenger in
a car driven by her husband, Eugene A. Runholm, 45, Waupun, was
advised to see a doctor for treatment a two-car crash at 9 a.m.
Saturday at the intersection of Highways 73 and 33 north of
Randolph. Eiml F. Lukach, 37, Milwaukee, told officers at the scene
that he had stopped for traffic at me intersection and was watching
a trailer to the left. He failed to see the Runholm auto
approaching and pulled out in front of him.
