Fritz, Susie (30 AUG 1958)

The First Congregation Church at Owen was the setting of the double ring marriage of Susie Fritz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elton J. Fritz of rural Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), and Randy Jablonic, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Jablonic of Owen.  At 8:00 o’clock on the 30th of August, the couple exchanged their marriage vows at a candlelight ceremony before the Rev. Ralph Claybaugh.

The bride, given away in marriage by her father, selected an empire styled princess gown of white bridal satin.  The fitted bodice was made of white bridal lace, which featured a Sabrina neckline which tapered in a Jeep "V" in back.  The long tapered sleeves came to a point at the wrists.  Her imported silk illusion veil fell from a tiara of lace medallions which was hand crocheted.  She carried a bouquet of white carnations and gladioli.

Miss June Devine was maid of honor and Mrs. Valerie Himes.  Reva and Sharon Fritz were bridesmaids.  The gowns, a Givenchy design, were of waltz length in iridescent taffeta.  Miss Devine’s gown was in a gold color, Mrs. Himes appeared in a peacock color, Reva in a light rust and Sharon in emerald green.  Their colonial bouquets were made of white gladioli and fern.

David Jablonic sang the "Wedding Prayer and "The Lord’s Prayer."  Karen Potocnik played the organ.

A reception was held at the church parlors to over two hundred guests coming from Owen, Withee, Curtiss, Cadott, Eau Claire, River Falls, Madison, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Minn., Waukegan, Chicago and Lake Forest, Ill.

Mr. and Mrs. Jablonic will make their home at 215 North Murray Street, Madison, where they attend the University of Wisconsin.
