Janesville Settlement (25 January 1962)

 

Connie Frances, the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schoengarth, was baptized Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Greenwood. Sponsors were Mrs. Schoengarth’s sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. James Kluver of Humbird.

 

Mrs. Paul Susa of near Loyal was a Sunday guest of Mr. and Mrs. John Gatz.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Fred J. Barr were Wisconsin Rapids visitors Friday.

 

Miss Carol Dillenbeck of Marshfield visited last weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Dillenbeck.

 

Mrs. Fred J. Barr entertained a number of little folks Sunday in honor of Scotty’s third birthday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Clark Hatton received a letter from Ernie Verhunce Saturday.  He is stationed in Korea.  He said he expects to leave for the United States February 17.  He will then be stationed at Spokane, Wash. (Fairchild Air Force Base at Airway Heights, Wash.)

 

Harvey Schwarze of Owen is spending some time here with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Nielsen while Mrs. Schwarze is at the hospital in Madison.

 

Mrs. John Baughman was hostess to the Stir and Sew Homemakers Thursday evening.  Project leader was Dianne Tieman. The club gave $2 to the March of Dimes.
