Pokel, Robert (22 FEB 1886 - 14 OCT 1958)
At 2:00 o’clock Saturday afternoon funeral services for Robert Albert Pokel, route 2, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), were conducted from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home. The Rev. Theodore Predoehl of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Withee, officiated at the final rites. Burial was made at Riverside Cemetery. During the service vocal numbers were sung by Miss Betty Jean Molzen, accompanied by Miss Karen Potocnik at the organ.
The deceased was unmarried and passed away Tuesday, Oct 14, 1958 at Victory Memorial Hospital at Stanley, where he was being treated following a stroke. He first became ill when he suffered the first stroke early last spring.
Born on Feb. 22, 1886 at Plymouth, Wis., he attained the age of 72 years, 7 months and 22 days. He had made his home for many years on his farm southwest of Withee.
He is survived by four sisters, Mrs. John Nicholson, Withee; Mrs. William Roth, Ladysmith; Miss Nelda R. Pokel, Watsonville, Calif., and Mrs. Alice Moreau, Reseburg, Ore., and one brother, Edward Pokel of Chicago, Ill.
