Disastrous Fire
AN ENTIRE WISCONSIN HAMLET REDUCED TO ASHES.
Spencer, Wis., July 7.--The entire hamlet of Romeo was burned at 1
o'clock this afternoon, including a saw mill, planing mill, five
million feet of lumber, a store, boarding house, and the dwelling
houses of Wm. Van Housen. Loss, $150,000; insurance, $50,000. The
woods are on fire, and further particulars cannot be obtained.
