Kunkel, Herman (18 October 1870 - 4 February 1962)
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday from the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Globe, for Herman Kunkel, 91, of Neillsville, who died here Sunday. The Rev. J. G. Ruege officiated and burial was made in the parish cemetery.
Mr. Kunkel was the son of the late Frederick and Wilhelmine (Kunkel) Kunkel, and was born October 18, 1870, in Germany. He was married to the former Alvine Sell while still living in Germany.
They came to the United States in 1909 and located at Neshkoro, where he was employed for six years on the railroad before coming to Clark County, where they purchased a farm in 1915. He farmed until 1950, when he moved into Neillsville.
He is survived by two children, Otto of La Crosse and Mrs. William (Emma) North of Neillsville; and by a granddaughter, Mrs. James Riel of Milwaukee.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Georgas Funeral Home.
