Wolfram, Arthur (Retirement - 3 JAN 1959)
Arthur Wolfram retired last Saturday from his position at the Western Condensing Co. at Owen. He had been employed there for the past 16 years.
Art was born in Sheboygan, Wis., on July 12, 1889, and grew to manhood in the land of sausage and "gemutlichkeit." In 1908 he moved to northern Wisconsin where he worked at canneries in several locations. In 1915 he moved to Owen (Clark Co. Wis.) where he was employed at the Owen Canning Co. In 1916 he married Edith Myhre at Amery, Wis. Later Railway in several locations covering a period of 18 years.
On April 16, 1942, Art joined Western Condensing Co. as a night watchman. Later he took up the position of janitor for the Owen plant.
Art’s hobbies include fishing, hunting, fishing, classical music and fishing. His plans for the future undoubtedly include some plans for fishing.
In appreciation of Art’s many courtesies extended to his fellow employees over the years, he was presented with a platform rocker, along with best wishes for a long and happy retirement.
